La Folia Duo

At their Asian debut, La Folia duo premiered the Guitar concerto Opus 30 by Mauro Giuliani (1781 – 1829) in an arrangement done by Anton Diabelli (1781 – 1858).

Unlike most concerto reductions, the 3 movements lean more towards chamber music, where both instruments are equally represented. The fact that Diabelli was skilled in both guitar and piano certainly contributed to the quality of this edition.
